Coaching supervision
A regular hour that belongs entirely to your practice. A professional space to reflect out loud about the client you cannot stop thinking about, the agreement that felt off, or the session that went beautifully for reasons you would like to understand.
Supervision is not quality control
It is easy to arrive at supervision braced for a mark out of ten. Supervision with me does not work like that. It's dedicated time for you and your coaching practice where you get to be curious rather than competent, and where the things you might feel unable to say to a client, a stakeholder or a peer group can be said out loud without consequence.
Most of what coaches bring to supervision is not a crisis. It is the quieter parts: the client who agrees with everything and changes nothing, the pull to rescue, or the moment you noticed you were working harder than the person in front of you. In a coaching practice, that awareness is rich and important, and committing to a regular session to reflect on your work is an essential part of providing ethical and professional coaching for your clients.
We will also look after you in supervision. Coaching is absorbing work, and it is easy to take more of it home than you realise. Part of what supervision offers is somewhere for that heaviness to go.
And if a crisis does present in your practice, supervision is there for you to talk it through and decide on the action you will take.
Who I work with
I supervise coaches at every stage: people in training who need supervision to qualify, established practitioners who want a supervisor who properly understands their client group, and coaches in a transition of their own, perhaps building a practice, leaving a corporate role, changing the shape of their work.
My own coaching practice is with women moving through career change, midlife, the menopause years, late ADHD and autism diagnosis, and the identity shifts that come with all of it. If you or your clients live in that territory, you will not have to explain the background to me.
I am also a good fit if you hold two roles at once. I am a coach and a qualified therapist, with active practices in both, and I understand the risks and the boundaries that come with wearing two hats. For coaches who wonder whether at times they're edging into therapy territory, I'll support you to understand when to stay with coaching, when something belongs elsewhere, and how to make that call cleanly and kindly in the room, without harming the client.
How sessions work
Sessions are online or by phone, for an hour or ninety minutes. Some supervisees choose monthly sessions, others quarterly or ad hoc. We will work out what your practice needs rather than what fits a template.
There is no set format. You bring what is alive, and we work with it: sometimes analytically, sometimes creatively, sometimes practically, with space for reflection, insight and gentle challenge.
Over time I get to know your practice: your patterns, your clients, the kind of work that lights you up and the kind that you find more of a struggle. That accumulated context is most of the value of ongoing supervision, and it is why I would rather see you regularly than occasionally.
We will pay attention to your development as well as your casework: what you are building, where you want to be more skilled, and what would need to change for your practice to feel successful and sustainable.
I bring my real self to supervision, the same as I do to coaching. Warm, authentic, direct, entirely on your side. Not much shocks me.
One-off and occasional supervision
Sometimes you do not need a new supervisor: you need one conversation, as soon as possible, about one thing.
I offer single sessions for coaches who already have supervision in place but want a second perspective, or who have come across something specific:
- An ethical question, or a boundary you are unsure about
- A client whose material is impacting you more than usual
- When menopause, hormones, fertility, loss or a late neurodivergence diagnosis comes into your work
- A coaching relationship that has stalled and you cannot see why
- A decision about your practice: niche, pricing, direction, whether to keep going
Book one session, use it well, and come back only if you want to. No package, no commitment.
My background
I am an EMCC Global Accredited Coach at Senior Practitioner level, a BACP Accredited Counsellor and a trained supervisor, holding an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision including online and telephone working. I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Coaching.
Before I trained, I spent years in senior People and HR roles in high-growth tech, professional services, financial services and media. I know how organisations behave on the inside, what a sponsored coaching contract can quietly demand of you, and how a demanding job collides with health, hormones and life.
I have also spent a long time supporting practitioners rather than only clients, running reflective practice and support groups, and helping to hold a professional community of several thousand practitioners through the ordinary and not-so-ordinary dilemmas of practice. Supervision is a natural continuation of that.
My CPD is ongoing and slightly compulsive: neuroaffirming practice, ADHD and autism, menopause and CBT for menopause symptoms, fertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and eating disorders alongside neurodivergence.
Supervision fees
Supervision is charged at the same rates as my coaching. The self-funded rate is for coaches paying for their own supervision. The organisational rate applies when a training provider, employer or coaching consultancy is paying.

Shall we talk?
Choosing a supervisor is mostly about fit, and you cannot judge fit only from a web page. I offer a free 30-minute discovery call so you can get a sense of me and I can hear about your practice. Bring a question that's niggling at you, or just come, meet me, and see how it feels.
If you are a counsellor or psychotherapist looking for clinical supervision, that would be arranged via The Menopause Therapist.
